How to use

How – Apply a thin layer to clean skin and gently massage the mask into your skin. Leave the mask on for 2-4 minutes, depending on your skin type. After an adjustment period, you can leave the product on for longer if needed. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. The exfoliating treatment will enhance the absorption of subsequent skincare products.

No peeling

This product does not seem to be working. No tingling or redness, no peeling, no smoothness. I was very excited to try this. I had to order it through Spain and paid a fortune for international shipping in to America. So disappointed.

Stærk reaktion efter brug af Intense Peel Mask – ville ønske der stod tydeligt “lav en test først”

Jeg købte denne maske for nogle dage siden i Magasin i Aarhus. Der var ingen små teststørrelser, kun den fulde version, men efter at have læst beskrivelsen og alle fordelene besluttede jeg at prøve den. Jeg købte også serum og ansigtscreme fra samme mærke.

Den første aften rensede jeg min hud, lagde et tyndt lag af peelingen på ansigt og hals, lod den sidde i 2 minutter og skyllede den af som beskrevet i vejledningen. Min hud blev rød i cirka 10–15 minutter, hvilket jeg forventede. Derefter påførte jeg fugtserum og creme fra Woods, og alt virkede fint.

Næste dag omkring middag begyndte min hals (hvor jeg også havde lagt peelingen) at klø ekstremt meget. Om aftenen kunne jeg næsten ikke lade være med at klø, og min pande begyndte også at føles rød og kløende. Om natten vågnede jeg omkring kl. 2, fordi kløen var uudholdelig. Mine øjne var hævede, hele mit ansigt og min hals var røde og kløende – som en voldsom reaktion. Jeg kontaktede akutlægen via videokonsultation, og de vejledte mig i, hvilken medicin jeg skulle tage, og hvornår jeg skulle tage på hospitalet, hvis det blev værre.

Det har nu stået på i to dage. I går kunne jeg ikke forlade mit hjem, fordi mit ansigt var så hævet, rødt og ubehageligt. I dag lykkedes det mig at tage på universitetet, men jeg føler mig stadig meget utilpas og selvbevidst. Derudover har jeg måttet bruge ekstra penge på antihistaminer, kløestillende creme og en ny ansigtscreme, fordi jeg i min nuværende hudtilstand ikke kan bruge min Woods-creme.

Bebrejder jeg mærket? Kun delvist. Jeg mener, det kunne have været undgået, hvis emballagen tydeligt havde skrevet: “Lav en lappetest før første brug.” Efter at have læst, at produktet er vegansk, naturligt og egnet til alle hudtyper (især til tør hud), følte jeg mig sikker på, at det var trygt. Det faldt mig aldrig ind, at en så stærk reaktion kunne ske. Jeg synes også, at små teststørrelser ville hjælpe folk til at afprøve produktet mere sikkert.

Lige nu må jeg fokusere på at hele min hud, hvilket vil tage tid og flere udgifter. Jeg ved ærligt talt ikke, om jeg vil kunne bruge de andre Woods-produkter, jeg har købt. Det gør mig ked af det, fordi jeg som vegetar valgte dette mærke for dets veganske og naturlige værdier, og jeg brugte omkring 1000 DKK – men endte med en kraftig allergi, ubehag og ekstra udgifter til behandling og ny hudpleje.

Derudover ser jeg stadig hævet og rød ud, så i dag – på anden dagen – er jeg ikke kun plaget af kløe men også af en brændende fornemmelse. Jeg kan ikke finde ud af, om min hud føles ekstremt fedtet eller ekstremt tør. Jeg håber, jeg kan komme mig hurtigt, men hele situationen har gjort mig utrolig ked af det – ikke kun fysisk, men også mentalt.

På produktets emballage og produktsiden til Intense Peel Mask nævner vi, at der kan forekomme en midlertidig rødme, da ingredienserne arbejder aktivt i huden – men denne rødme er harmløs og forbigående, og stemmer ikke overens med den reaktion, du har beskrevet.

Da det kan være en enkelt ingrediens – eller en kombination af ingredienser – i netop Intense Peel Mask, som din hud ikke tåler, kan du overveje at lave en patch test af dine øvrige woods_-produkter, hvis du fortsat ønsker at bruge dem.
